GeneralIn May, the number of units sold in Tarrant County picked up slightly and the average selling price was also up. For all of North Texas there is a 5.8-month supply of homes on the market and for Tarrant County, there is a 6.4-month supply. A 6-month supply means that there is neither a Sellers Market nor a Buyers Market in place. Hence, Tarrant County is in a slight Buyers Market condition, but not significantly so. The experts at the Real Estate Center at A&M believe that Texas will end this year at about the same numbers as we saw in 2004, which was considered a “good year” back then. The good news is that the job growth is holding strong so there won’t be a drop in real estate here as is being seen in other parts of the country.
