May is almost over! We are now entering the busiest 3 months of the year for real estate. Over the past 5 years in Tarrant County, 29% to 31% of the annual home sales have taken place during June, July and August for each year. A big reason for that is most buyers are trying to get into a new home after school ends and before the next school year begins. It also means that if you are trying to sell your home, this is the best time of year to sell it.

If you are interested in buying a home, more of them will be on the market during this time of year. However, in Tarrant County homes sell for 5% to 10% higher during the June – August period. So if you’re buying - you’d be well advised to wait a little longer.
